How can you add a token (add_token) from outside of the input box? I have a modal for add new values, and after the new value is submitted it would be nice to auto add that value to the input box.

Thanks

I found out the bug. The problem is on the token_list.mousedown event. After returning false (line 228 from git source), the blur event of the last focused input does not fire.

Hi!
I have found an issue on Firefox, you can check it on your demo (http://loopj.com/tokeninput/demo.html).

If i click with the mouse on the second input, and them on the first input, the "Type in a search term" tip of both remains open.

Any idea on how to fix it?

Two ways to fix the IE problem where you can not select a dropdown item with the mouse. Both have worked for me:

1. From Ryan's post, change all instances of hide_dropdown to setTimeout(function() { hide_dropdown_ontimer(); }, 300);

Instead of changing all instances, you can simply change the hide_dropdown function as follows:

function hide_dropdown() {
setTimeout(function() { hide_dropdown_ontimer(); }, 300); // TIMER REQUIRED FOR IE
}

function hide_dropdown_ontimer() {
dropdown.hide().empty();
selected_dropdown_item = null;
}

1. From Robin's post, change the .mousedown event in function populate_dropdown(). Simply copy the code from .click() into .mousedown. I added a condition to do this only for IE.

function populate_dropdown(query, results) {
.click(function(event) {
add_token(get_element_from_event(event, "li"));
})
.mousedown(function(event) {

/*IE FIX TO ALLOW CLICK TO SELECT */
var IE = /*@cc_on!@*/false;
if (IE) {
add_token(get_element_from_event(event, "li"));
}
// Stop user selecting text on tokens
return false;
})
