Comments on: jQuery Plugin: Tokenizing Autocomplete Text Entry

Hello everyone,
I find this plugin really useful so I updated it a little:
* method name can be lower or uppercase now
* changed $.get and $.post methods to single $.ajax call; removed needless queryStringDelimiter

and added some functionalities:
* option to determine if already entered values will be showed on dropdown list (default: false)
* error message if data retrieving failed

If I create new elements using jquery then the plugin is not applied. Am I doing it wrong or this feature is not supported? I would like to create n number of textboxes from the client side.

Problem hovered in is_printable_character() function. I've a same problem with russian characters. Just comment some lines, so function will return true only.

I fix the problem with Uppercase and Lowercase. The solution is:
return (n.name.toLowerCase().indexOf(query.toLowerCase()) > -1);

But, I Can't fix the problem with the special characters like á, ñ, ü. Can you fix this?

Fixed this problem with adding a line:

hidden_input.val('');

Right after these lines in the pre-populate function init_list ():

li_data = settings.prePopulate;
if(li_data && li_data.length) {

Hi. Great Plug-in.

is there a posibility to pre-select a Item if I e.g. have an id in the URL.

http://....&id=1000

that it selects the Item with ID: 1000
